Why Rent Games, Rather Than Buy?
How many time have you purchased a game, costing $40 and up, only to be disappointed? Ever got one that you asked for at Christmas, or on a birthday - one that you asked for - and realized after 15-30 minutes that you really hate it? If you're on this site, then you know you're one of these people. Anyone who plays video games are.
WAIT! THINK MAN!
Did you know there are options to play before you buy, as opposed to buying, if you're a person who will never play any one game again? Ever tried or heard of Netflix or Blockbuster DVD by mail? The same options are available from Gamefly and GottaPlay! For the cost of three games a year you can play many games, giving you a chance to try them out.
Maybe you want to buy it, but not sure? Just want to see what the hype is about, or you just want a game to borrow during half-time, at a cookout, when you're stuck indoors, etc. There are so many reasons to get a game for temporary use.
The cool thing is that you can rent these games until you are done with them, then you return them! You're not charged late fees, so if you get hooked on a game you don't have to live in the bathroom to get through it before it needs to be returned. For the gamers this applies much more appropriately than DVD rentals, because how often have you beat a game in two hours... and be honest!!
There are plenty of reasons to rent, but only you can decide whether or not it's good for you. But, then, how do you decide that without giving it a shot? |
