Paintball Season 2008 Starts in April
|
Dawgs! It's time to get geared up! You've been chomping at the bit to get out there and light up your friends, so make sure your equipment is working correctly.
This year will be handles a little differently, as the group will be broken into squads so that you can get accustomed to working with you team mates, and become stronger working as a team.
The last Saturday of April will be the first match, and in June we be going to Fort Knox to check out the new urban combat layout in the miners town! |

Paintball Soldier
|
Paintball Soldier, Part Deux: C’mon glory hound! Let’s discuss two things- tactics and teamwork! They go hand in hand. Let’s start with teamwork. It all starts when you pull a colored ball out of a hat. That puts you on a specific team. That gives you dependants, and makes you a dependent. You have to talk to your teammates throughout the game. You have a Captain. Let him or her know where you are and who you are gunning for at all times. This isn’t an army of one! It’s not about your personal kill ratio! Keep reading....

If you are attending the January LAN party, post a head count. Also, SS has requested that you NOT bring chips. What a bummer...
Watch for changes in the upcoming LAN parties, as the locations will change. You can keep up on the forums.

Well paintball tomorrow for me and Spitfire is looking like a NOGO! Our jeep is sitting in Delphi at the moment with blown brakes! Seems that one of the rear brake lines decided to blow. That tells me that the rear cylinder is also a mess. So we have to get the Jeepster home and also get rear brakes put on it ASAP. Our only mode of transport at the moment. Considering by the time we get parts get the wheel tore apart and get everything repaired and put back together on both sets of brakes, you might as well say the whole day is shot! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
I will try and get them fixed as fast as I can and at least try and make it over for a later round. But the way it looks I wouldn't expect us. " border="0" alt="brooding.gif" /> |

I think we're going to kick this one off a little differently this year. The SCOs want to do evaluations, so to help them out we are going to start filling the CO2 bottles at 9am. From there groups of people can go to the farm with the SCOs to get chronos and qualifications finished.
Don't forget air fees ($5) and money for tags($10), for those who are getting them. |

A while back me and Nex got together and talked about an idea we had. So I will toss it out to members and see what they think. We had discussed having a NEODAWGS QUARTERLY MEETING/DINNER. It would be held every 3 months at a prearranged location, or I would even be willing to hold them here at my place. We have a huge town park right across the street for the kids! I think it would be a good chance for all of us members and there families to get together on a non field of aggression to get to know one another and for there families to get to know all of us as well. Plus it would give all of us members a chance to sit down and discuss news, ideas, and thoughts about Neodawgs in general. I really think this would be a good idea since we are starting to get new member in the mix. It would give them a chance to get to know us better off the paintball field.
So any of you that have thoughts, ideas, whatever about this lets hear it?? I would like to try and get this going ASAP.
Thanks! |

I just recieved this from KoCheez:
QUOTE Flameless smoke or cold smoke is allowed on the field. We've used it in the past. Our only rule is that smoke grenades can not be thrown into any of our field structures, like the castle or fort. Other than that no problems.
Thanks, KoCheez |
